McIntosh High School Bands are proud to be part of a community that recognizes the value of an education in the arts. Our highest level bands perform music from professional literature and have been honored to present premier works written expressly for them. Many of our students rank at the top of their class and receive academic and music scholarships from Georgia colleges and across the nation. Our marching band, the "Spirit of McIntosh," was invited to perform in the January 1, 2009 Gator Bowl Parade and Pre-game show in Jacksonville, Florida! This event was nationally televised and was a great opportunity to showcase McIntosh High School, Peachtree City and Fayette County. McIntosh High School Bands work hard to represent the state of Georgia. However, we needed a lot of local support to continue to provide a top quality program to our exceptional music students.

Unfortunately, we receive very little funding on both the State and local level (roughly 4%.) Our music program, which supports about 210 students, annually costs more than $100,000. Associated costs include instruments, sheet music, professional instruction, choreography, uniforms, travel, lodging and more.
