The MHS Band Boosters provides continuous fundraising activities. If you take advantage of the opportunities, fundraising events can cover 100% of your band commitments and other band related expenses.  Fundraising events are available for ALL concert and marching band students and color guard.

Each student has a student account set up with our band boosters.  Any money earned through fundraisers, parent-paid fees and donations made to that student will go into this account. The money is used for participation fees, trip/travel expenses, private lessons, and equipment purchases for that specific student. There are fundraisers where all the money goes into the student’s account and some where a portion will go into the band general fund for instructional expenses, equipment purchases, maintenance, etc.

Many families have paid for their entire band fee using fundraising alone.

Current & Upcoming Fundraising Opportunities Include:
   SCRIP - orders taken monthly
Kroger Gift Card Program - buy Kroger gift cards percentage goes to band and student account
Car Washes - students participate and earn a percentage of the total profit
Stadium Concession Stand - Parent volunteers earn credit towards band fees while
raising money towards the band uniform fund

Read below for more information about these and other fundraising opportunities.

Our band has 4 exciting fundraising events coming up. We really need your help to make them a success! With 4 very different events, there is a place for everyone to support our musicians!

April 25th- Music for the Senior Spirit!

This is a concert celebrating our senior citizens at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with a dessert reception after. We will need parents to donate desserts, cups, plates, napkins, and coffee, tea, and lemonade. We will coordinate the desserts and supplies through one of our booster club members so that we receive proper numbers of each item. We may also need volunteers to serve dessert and drinks to our seniors.

If you are able to donate a dessert or other item for this event please follow the link below to sign up:

May 11th- Annual Car Wash at Starbuck's in Peachtree City

We will be accepting donations of old towels, sponges, buckets, small brushes for wheel cleaning, and car wash soap in the band room starting April 8th.  Again, all items are tax deductible.  Please help support our student musicians and band program!

What is SCRIP?
Scrip makes great gifts, and all the savings you receive will help defray the cost of band. Many members of the band take advantage of this unique fundraiser each month and cut significant money out of the cost of band. Simply buy Scrip gift cards for the things that you spend money on anyway and the profit goes directly into your students' account. (70% to you and 30% to the general band fund).

There will be one more Scrip after that in May and then scrip will resume after school starts back up again in the fall.

A BIG thank you to all families who chose to participate in Scrip this school year.

Kroger Fundraising ProgramLast Changed

Since the Scrip fundraiser does not include grocery stores and Kroger has eliminated the Kroger Earning Plus Learning Program (which earned us approximately $1,200 a year), the McIntosh Band Booster Board is now offering a new Kroger fundraiser.  Every time we place an order with Kroger of at least $500 in gift cards, we get to keep 5%. That's just 5 families who order $100 each per week!  I KNOW we all spend much more than that at Kroger.  If we had 20 families order $100 each week for an entire school year, the band would net an easy $3,600.  Just like Scrip, 70% of the Kroger Card Program funds will go to the student account and 30% will go into the general band fund.  Click here to download an order form.

If you would like to place a Kroger card order for March please contact Lisa Mathews at cdmaster@bellsouth.net by 12 pm Monday March 4. Cards should be ready for pick up Thursday afternoon March 7.

Stadium Concession Stand
The Stadium Concession Stand generates the needed revenue to purchase our marching uniforms. Working in our concession stand is a popular method of earning funds for your student band account.

Concession stand workers earn $5 per hour during home Varsity football games on Friday nights as well as during the JV and Freshman games on Thursday afternoons.  Money earned is credited to your student's band account.

For more information or to sign up to work, please contact Don Stanley at .

How are funds used?
It is through Fundraising that the Boosters continue to maintain a quality band program, purchasing those items that are not provided by the Fayette County Board of Education in particular musical instruments and marching uniforms.
